Symptoms as Absent-Referrals of that Omnipresence

1. What is absent is at all times present thru the choice one made for making it absent.

1.1  Active Absence: If I choose to be absent, then I remain present even in my absence, by letting the Other be in my place, thru actively willing myself out of the place. Withdrawal, actively performed thus is an act of situating myself in that which I withdraw from.

1.2  Passive Absence: Even if one is made to withdraw inspite of one’s efforts otherwise, one remains inadvertently present in one’s absence thru one’s denial to be absent, thru one’s attempt at a return to one’s former position of presence. In such a refusal, the Other has to constantly drive one away to thwart all chances of one’s presence in its place, thus having the Other interact with one at all times to push it away, thereby making one present thru the Other’s constant pushing-away. Trying to keep one away, the Other always keeps an eye on one, thus making itself partially absent from its place, while it is attending to one only to keep it away.

2. Absent Absence:  A situation where one did not choose but found oneself to be not there, not yet atleast, - a situation where the choice had already been made without one’s involvement in it, thus not being held responsible for one’s absence.

3. What is absent is at all times present (either thru its active absence or passive absence) thru the choice one made for making it absent, unless one did not make the choice but found oneself (absent absence) already living the choice, akin to being thrown into a  choice-free world where one dreams of choices, be it the presence or the lack of it!

4. Choice exists solely in the self projected future. However the chooser is a residue of the past.

5. The present is no more except as an absence.
